Cancellation Policy

Understand our cancellation charges and process before making a booking.

At OnlineTourPackage, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both travelers and our service partners. Please read this policy carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Standard Cancellation Charges

The following charges apply for cancellations based on the number of days before the scheduled departure date:

2. How to Cancel a Booking

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

  • Send a cancellation email to cmtc@onlinetourpackage.com
  • Include your booking reference number, name, travel dates, and reason for cancellation
  • You will receive a cancellation confirmation within 2 business days
  • The cancellation date is the date we receive the written request, not the date it is sent

3. Special Package Cancellation Terms

The following packages have stricter cancellation terms and may be non-refundable:

  • Helicopter Tour Packages (e.g., Auli By Heli, Heli to Harsil) — subject to helicopter operator's policy
  • Peak Season Packages (December–January, March–April) — may require higher advance notice
  • Group Packages — as per group booking agreement
  • International Packages (Nepal, Bhutan) — as per airline and hotel policies
  • Customized / FIT Packages — as per the specific booking agreement

Specific cancellation terms will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation.

4. Cancellations by OnlineTourPackage

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a confirmed booking due to:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather, or road closures
  • Government restrictions or safety concerns
  • Insufficient minimum group size (for group departures)
  • Force majeure events beyond our control

In such cases, we will offer either:

  • A full credit for future travel, or
  • A partial/full refund after deducting non-recoverable costs already incurred

5. Postponement / Date Change

If you wish to change your travel dates instead of cancelling:

  • Date change requests made 15+ days before departure: ₹500 per person amendment fee
  • Date change requests made 7–14 days before departure: ₹1,000 per person amendment fee
  • Date changes within 7 days of departure are treated as cancellations and standard cancellation charges apply
  • Any price difference due to the new travel dates will be charged separately

6. No-Show Policy

If a traveler fails to arrive at the designated starting point on the scheduled date without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a no-show and the full package amount will be forfeited. No refund will be provided.

7. Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and unforeseen events. This can protect you from financial losses in case of unavoidable cancellations.
