Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry-Trichi-Madurai

Day 1: Chennai

After reaching Chennai, meet tour representatives and move ahead to the hotel. Freshen up and get set to enjoy a tour of the city. Visit places like Kabalishwara Temple, Santhome Church, St. George Fort, and Madras (Chennai) Museum.

Return to hotel.Overnight stay at Chennai.

Day 2: Chennai – Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, proceed to Mahabalipuram.

On arrival check in into the hotel and enjoy sightseeing. Arjuna’s Penance, Five Rathas, Shore Temple, Tiger Cave and Krishna’s Butter Ball are major spots of tourist attraction in the town.

Bustle on the streets and return to hotel.Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry.

The former French Colony a small town that still retains a French influence in its architecture, surroundings and planning.

After breakfast, visit the Aurobindo Ashram founded by a Bengali philosopher, Aurobindo in the early twentieth century. In the afternoon, you will have the option to visit Auroville or relax on the beach.

Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at a beach resort.

Day 4: Pondicherry-Trichy

Enjoy breakfast. Drive ahead to Trichy. On arrival check-in at hotel.

Trichy is situated on the banks of river Cauvery, and is one of the most famous temple towns in south India. The town is famous for rich culture and marvelous architectural heritage. It represents a fine blend of tradition and modernity. One of the largest city in the state of Tamil Nadu, the city is also referred as gateway to many great temple cities and historical sites. Visit Rock Frt a 83 mt high rock fort in the center of the city.

It takes 344 rock-cut steps to reach Uchipillayar temple dedicated to Lord Vinayaka. Half way up is the temple of Lord Shiva dedicated to Thayumanaswamy. Jambukeshwara Temple here has Shiva lingam almost submerged in water.

Visit the spectacular temple architecture near Trichy at Srirangam. Set on an island in the Cauvery River within seven concentric walled Courtyards, the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is one of the largest complexes in India.

Day 5: Trichy- Madurai

After breakfast drive to MADURAI. On arrival check-in at hotel.

In evening visit to the renowned Meenakshi Temple and the Palace of Thirumalai Nayak, the most famous king of the Nayak dynasty. It has a great audience hall, a three-sided pavilion and a courtyard.

The evening “Aarti” is a must attend for all visitors. The other half of Goddess Durga – Shiva, is brought to her chamber in procession.

The procession goes around the temple, and several short ceremonies at different shrines takes place before the final prayer at the entrance of the chamber. The whole ceremony takes around 45 minutes.Overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 06: Departure from Trichy/Madurai

After Breakfast  Check out from the Hotel and you will be driven back to Trichy/Madurai Airport with wonderful memories of our Package.
